About Me

Raised in a miniature zoo in the city of Seattle with a small pack of 4 blue heeler cattle dogs, cats, birds (chickens, pigeons, doves), 50 gallon aquarium w/ live fish (guppies, goldfish, mollies, crayfish), red eared slider turtle, 5 different hamster breeds (3 I adopted from a friend who was moving out of state at the time) & a chinchilla. I also worked under a well known chinchilla breeder for over 10 years then started professionally walking dogs for 6 years in Seattle. Now I have newfound passion for all reptile animals since my exposure to reptiles dwarfs in comparison to the previously mentioned listed animals which consists of dog, cat, bird & rodent. I have also gained a lot of experience giving various prescribed medications to this wide range of animals as well as special needs animals w/ a disability or neurological disorders. I have also taken a canine CPR class & I want to sign up & take the small animal CPR class this year.

Reptile Care Experience

The personalities these little bodies hold is always so fascinating & often times goofy. But cleaning enclosure, spot cleaning bioactive setups, washing food, water bowls plus decor & cleaning glass is significantly easier then cleaning any rodent or bird enclosure. The 5 years I've been owning reptiles is a walk in the park in comparison (once I had the temperature gradient, basking zones, and soil science figured out) to the expected potential chaos when cleaning & caring for birds & rodents. I also really didn't expect my leopard geckos to be so similar to cats in personalities when I first entered this hobby & now I'm hooked itching to learn any & all I can about reptiles.

My Reptiles

3 Leopard Geckos. 2 boys, 1 girl. [150gal, 50gal, 20gal] 1 Crested/Eyelash Gecko (boy). [35gal w/ misting system complete bioactive setup] 1 Emperor Scorpion (juvenile). [10gal]

Safety & Security

Safety is my number one priority for both myself and the animals therefore I require demonstrations of how you routinely feed, clean, handle, & possibly even weigh. I prefer to approach via choice based handling in order to build trust but I also understand some prefer to be picked up (one of my leo's). Sometimes I'm able to spot clean the enclosure with the animal still inside (crested & leo's for example) but for larger lizards & snakes I would prefer the owners show & teach me the holding or travel container (also extremely important for emergencies) that the animal can chill on the sidelines while their enclosure is being cleaned. I also love to send photo/video text message updates. I personally take a minimum of 3 photos a day when house sitting for a client. Obviously you will receive more photos & updates if more then one animal is under my care. I'm also not squeamish about gut loading insects like Dubi roaches or dethawing frozen rat bodies.
